I have two estimates of insurance and a 20/40 is the responsibility (minimum state) and it was 100/300, which just means I dass know the extent of their range, but I only have liability so what is the difference? Please help.

20/40 means that your insurance for someone who is injured by you pay --- 20, 000 ownership, and 40,000 for meedical.
The other is the same, but 100,000 to 300,000.
Get the one can afford it - if you have an accident in a new Cadillac Escalade, responsible, for example, only 20,000 of whom 50,000 ----- They are probably for the rest!
Well, that's the difference ... if they have a total of 30k and Mercedes .. and 20/40 coverage (20k per vehicle x 40) Have you personally pay another 10k ... does not seem a good idea to minimal government now?
20/40 is in the way, and that's all. That's rubbish coverage. If you exercise more than its borders, and lose, you can pay a debt for the rest of his life sued, and can not in bankruptcy exit. Imagine the loss of control at an intersection and struck a trailer, driving in a 7-Eleven, burning and murder of a young doctor who went through the door. You can not imagine what it would cost, and not someone else, you, with so little coverage available. Liability insurance to protect against claims for loss or damage caused to others and their property causes.
